Read more on what former students have to say about Rajashree Krishnakumar, the trainer at Spark Academy IELTS Training Centre:

Practice, as they say, makes one perfect. And that is exactly what we did in SPARK ACADEMY. We came to know of this place through word of mouth and we are glad we joined. Due to our tight schedule in college (we are final year B.Pharm. students) we could attend only 10 classes, and that too, on weekends. In spite of the short time span, Rajashree Ma’am gave each of us individual attention and helped us in areas we had difficulty with. We did a lot of practice, which was very helpful, as were the many tips she gave us for the exam. She helped us overcome our fears and we did better each day. We were quite scared to write the exam after just 10 classes but were over the moon with our results! These are the scores we got:
_ HANNAH: Overall band score 7.5;
( L 8.5, R 7.5, W 7, S 7.5)
_ PAVITHRA: Overall band score 7.5;
(L 8.5, R 7.5, W 6.5, S 7)
_ MERCY: Overall band score: 7;
(L 7.5, R 7, W 6.5, S 7)

One of my ambitions is to migrate to Canada in search of a stable job and better living conditions. I knew from the beginning that the first and biggest hurdle for me was getting 8/7/7/7 in the General Training IELTS exam, a prerequisite for migration to that country. I started looking for a place that offered good IELTS classes. Then through word of mouth (from a friend of mine), I came to know about this amazing place called ‘SPARK ACADEMY which is located in Vazhuthacaud. The first and foremost thing about the Academy is that the tutor, Rajasree Ma’am, can easily judge the strengths and weaknesses of a student in English language skills.

On the first day of joining, after a language skill test, I understood that I was a beginner level student and I needed to work hard and I had only very little time, which made the road to IELTS even more difficult. Rajashree Ma’am reassured me I could make it with hard work and effort. I started following the pattern she taught me and started studying. When the results came, Voila! I got 8.5 Listening, 7 Reading, 8 Writing and 7.5 Speaking! I was as happy as a clam when I saw my results _ for the effort I put in had finally paid off.

Now, when I look back, the journey to achieve this feat is more like a beautiful and cherished memory for me. The support and individual attention our Ma’am gave us and the properly executed classes made the journey much easier. Like many, I am nostalgic about my school days and the time I spent in SPARK reminded me of those beautiful days. The calm and quiet atmosphere at this place, located somewhat in the middle of a busy and noisy city, made it easier for me to concentrate on my studies. The friends, the funny and amazing moments I had there will always be a part of my memories, no matter where the journey of life takes me. I wouldn’t think twice before recommending this place to anyone who wants to make their IELTS dream come true. Thank you Rajashree Ma’am, for this amazing learning opportunity and I wish you great success!

It’s been just two days since my IELTS result came out and I’m over the moon because I got an overall 8 (L 8.5, R 8, W 7, S 7.5) with less than a month’s training at SPARK ACADEMY. A high overall band score is mandatory to get a scholarship to a reputed university in the US or Canada and in my hunt to find a good trainer, Zarina teacher (my school teacher), introduced me to Rajashree Ma’am. Despite the number of students, Ma’am always makes sure to give adequate attention to each and every student, in order to help them achieve the necessary score.

The Writing part was tough and Ma’am helped me develop my writing skills, making me write one sentence at a time and scrutinizing and correcting it before I could proceed to the next one. I managed a 7 (in spite of even misinterpreting the question for task 2. I’m pretty sure I would have got a higher band for Writing, had I read the question properly).

One of the best things about SPARK was that I got to meet students from various sectors and of different age groups. They were not only friendly but also supportive right from the start. I will certainly miss the classes, the students, the short lunch break and especially Ma’am who wasn’t just a teacher, but also a friend, guide and motivator.

Pursuing one’s dreams is only possible if one knows which direction to head. I was fortunate enough to know the best place for IELTS training as my brother was a former student of Rajashree Ma’am.

Between long hours of studying and writing down essays, what was seemingly an impossible task gradually seemed achievable with her teaching expertise and dedicated guidance..My overall language skills improved a lot because of her radical teaching strategies that included dealing with grammatical errors and sentence phrasing to building the confidence to converse fluently in English. Obtaining an overall score of 7.5 (L -8, R-8, W-7,S-7) in my first attempt makes it evident that she knows what ought to be done with each of her students. So to those who are looking for proper guidance to attain the best IELTS scores, SPARK ACADEMY will definitely fulfil your aspirations.

Clearing IELTS was the biggest hurdle for me to pursue my dream of working in Ireland, and so I opted to get trained under Rajashree Ma’am. Even though it seemed daunting initially with my hesitancy to speak English, my wrong spellings and pronunciation, she gave me individual attention in modules I was poor in. Her training strategies in all modules and tips that she gave during my preparation for the exam helped me to achieve a dream score of L-8.5 , S-7 , R-8.5, W-7 with an overall band of 8, and I am now working as a Registered Nurse in Charlestown, Ireland. Looking back at the time I spent training under Rajashree Ma’am, I can definitely say Spark would be the best place for all IELTS aspirants.

About our Ma’am: Mrs Rajashree Krishnakumar is not just a trainer. We can count on her as a guide, motivator, and sometimes as a friend. Without any hesitation I can say that she is the one who helped me achieve my dream of setting foot in Great Britain. I still remember those days when I had lost all hope and was pushing myself to do my monotonous job, day in and day out. Joining Spark led to an unexpected U turn in my life. She helped me in getting the spark back in my life and three months of rigorous IELTS training with Ma’am helped in my gaining enough knowledge and tricks to clear IELTS, a task that turned out to be tougher than I had expected at first.

And, by God’s grace and with blessings from family and friends, I am now here in West Croydon, London, working as a Financial Associate.

Where do I even start? I’ve been a part of this great place for a long time.

I came to Spark Academy very unsure of myself and my ability to get Band 7 in all modules in order to work as a nurse abroad. But now I am leaving Spark full of confidence, having scored 8/7/7/7 (Academic). Practising continuously, especially Speaking and Writing, with Mrs Rajashree Krishnakumar was very useful for me. I’ve learned about the mistakes I make while Speaking, mainly my wrong pronunciation, and everything about Writing.

At Spark, Rajashree Ma’am makes learning IELTS both fun and effective with a daily English workout. She brings out the best in you and you would feel ashamed of yourself if you didn´t try and work harder with a big smile _ like her. It´s infectious. Her genuine care for students is beyond words. I cannot recommend her highly enough: surely a one-of-a-kind teacher, the one you will remember for the rest of your life. She is the best English trainer I’ve ever had.

Dear Ma’am,Thank you so much for making my dreams come true!

Juby Mathew

This is the happiest day of my life. I finally passed the IELTS exam with the score I need to work abroad!

Spark Academy’s Rajashree Ma’am is an excellent English teacher. But she was also my biggest supporter and motivator on my extremely hard journey to success.

It was a real challenge for me to score good marks in IELTS. Ma’am helped me to improve in the module I had the most difficulty with,Speaking, and I finally got a score of 7 in it! I was really amazed when I got 8.5 in Listening and 7.5 in Reading. I got a lot of tips from Ma’am, which really helped me to achieve this wonderful score.

I am delighted to thank Rajashree Ma’am for all her efforts and excellent teaching.

Thank you so much Ma’am.

I want to share my unique story of transformation from a working senior executive in Tanzania, to one who was ready to take on the role of a student yet again _ just because the education bug bit me. I opted to do my Master’s abroad which required me to secure a score of 6.5 overall in the IELTS exam, with not less than 6.0 in all modules. My hunt for a good tutor brought me to Rajashree Ma’am (by the way for those of you who do not know, she was born in Tanzania!). I needed a course with a very short time frame of 20 days because of the University deadline. She took this up as a special challenge and started the task of mentoring me every day of the week including Sundays. I would have been content to just secure the minimum score required, but she would egg me on to aim higher. The IELTS test of 27 July was by no standards easy, especially the Reading module, which had a set of three tough passages. Perhaps that explains my score of L-8.0, R-6.5, W-7.5 and S-8.0 with an overall of 7.5. I was elated and could gauge the satisfaction from the voice on the other side of the phone, true to a teacher, when I informed her of my score. My task at Spark has come to an end but it continues for Ma’am churning out more accomplished students.

I studied in a regional language throughout my school days and lacked even the basic English language skills necessary to get through IELTS and thereby become a qualified nurse in a developed nation. When I joined Rajashree Ma’am’s classes for IELTS training, she said “Biju, we have to do a lot of work if you want to get through the IELTS exam.” Indeed! It was really a tough job. Initially it was a challenge for me and the road wasn’t smooth at all. With her perseverance in teaching me (and nagging!) I was able to progress from a toddler in handling English to a person who can communicate well even with native English speakers today. She has not only taught me IELTS but also to appreciate the beautiful language, English. I’m really thankful to her for making me what I am now. Without her intervention and man management skills, I wouldn’t have become a Registered Nurse in NHS in the UK.

Thank you once again for being the best trainer and I’m so privileged to have been your student.
